Georgia & East Alabama
Lawn care services built for a Southern summer.
47 years in this climate, on this clay. Everything below is available as the full seven-visit program or as an individual service.
-
Lawn Care
A seven-visit year set by a lab soil test: pre-emergent timed to soil temperature, nitrogen timed to the grass, and a scout on every visit.

-
Aeration & Overseeding
Core aeration at peak growth for Bermuda and Zoysia, and a September aeration-and-seed for tall fescue. The two are not the same job.

-
Weed Control
Pre-emergent timed to soil temperature, post-emergent matched to the actual weed, and the right chemistry for sedges and perennial grasses, which are a different job entirely.

-
Sand Topdressing & Leveling
Thin passes of sand, a quarter inch at a time, dragged in and repeated, that turn a bumpy lawn into one that is genuinely flat, not just mowed short.
Learn more
-
Lawn Pest Control
Grub preventive before the eggs hatch, armyworm scouting through August, and guaranteed two-application fire ant control on the ground the family actually uses.
Learn more
-
Mosquito Control
Harborage treatment every 30 to 35 days from spring through first frost, plus the standing water on the property that no spray will ever fix.

Additional services
Available on request for program customers and properties that need them. Ask your technician or the office.
-
Tree & Shrub Care
Two feedings a year timed to root flush, fungicide and insecticide only when scouting calls for them, and straight answers about what the beds actually need. Available on request.
The backbone
The Seven-Step Lawn Care Program
Most of what a lawn needs is the right thing at the right time, seven times a year, without fail. Almost everything that goes wrong on a lawn is a timing error, not a product error.
We pull a soil sample and send it to an independent agronomic lab (Waypoint Analytical). The results set your pH and fertility targets, usually starting with lime, because this clay runs acid. From there each visit is timed to conditions: pre-emergent at 50–55°F soil temperature before crabgrass germinates, nitrogen only once the grass is fully green and has been mowed twice, post-emergent on whatever came through anyway.
- Soil test at an independent agronomic lab, with lime where the report calls for it
- Warm-season plans for Bermuda and Zoysia, with Zoysia fed at about half Bermuda's nitrogen
- Cool-season plans for tall fescue, built around September aeration and overseeding
- Pre-emergent split into two applications so the barrier lasts the whole germination window
- Insect, disease and weed pressure scouted on every single visit
- Nitrogen stopped 30 days before first frost, with potassium in its place for cold hardiness

Hands down, the absolute best, most educated, highest quality and most trusted chemical lawn care company you can find. H&H sets their bar high and it shows. They came highly recommended to me by multiple sources and I couldn't be happier with our relationship and the quality of their service. My lawn has never looked so healthy! Locally owned for over 35 years, not a franchise or a chain and trust me, that makes a difference. Five stars all day.
