Same town. Same standard. 47 years.
H & H Lawn Care has been treating lawns across Northwest Georgia since 1979. In that time the products have changed, the equipment has changed, and a lot of national chains have come and gone. We are still here, still local, still answering our own phone.
That longevity is not an accident. It comes from doing the unglamorous parts properly: pulling soil samples instead of guessing, correcting pH before chasing color, timing pre-emergent to soil temperature instead of to a date on a wall, and sending back technicians who already know what your lawn did last season.
Our customers stay for years, and a good number of them came to us because a neighbor's lawn made them ask who was treating it.

Same-day service is not a promotion, it is how the routes are built. There is slack in them on purpose, so a morning call can put a technician on the property that afternoon.

No contracts, no binding agreements, no cancellation fees, no line items you have to ask about. Customers stay because the lawn looks right, which is the only reason worth staying for.

We send your dirt to the lab.
Soil samples go to an independent agronomic lab, the same kind of testing golf courses run on. The report comes back with pH, phosphorus, potassium and a lime requirement, and those numbers set your targets for the year. Around here the answer is usually lime: Piedmont clay runs acid, and below about pH 6.0 a good share of the fertilizer you paid for stays locked in the soil where roots cannot reach it.

Some days the right call is to come back.
Broadleaf herbicides injure turf once the afternoon climbs into the high eighties. Several products need a rain-free window to work at all. Nothing belongs on a lawn that is already wilted from drought. If the day is wrong for what your lawn needs, the technician makes that call in the driveway, and the slack in the route is what lets us come back.

The same crews, the same trucks, the same standards since 1979. The technician who treats your lawn in August already knows what it did in May, which is most of what diagnosing a lawn actually takes.
The science part
We test the soil. Then we decide.
Most lawn problems are soil problems wearing a costume. Thin turf, persistent weeds, poor color and drought stress usually trace back to three things: compaction, pH, or not enough sun. None of them are fixed by another bag of fertilizer, and two of them are not fixed by anything in a tank.
So we pull samples and send them to an independent agronomic lab. The report comes back with pH, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium and a lime requirement. In the Georgia Piedmont the answer is usually lime first: this clay sits acid, often near pH 5.0, and below about 6.0 nutrients that are physically present in the soil are still chemically unavailable to the roots. You can spend years fertilizing a lawn that cannot reach what you are giving it.
Once pH is right, everything downstream gets easier: less fertilizer does more, the turf thickens, and a closed canopy crowds out weeds better than any herbicide we own. It costs us more time up front than guessing does. It is also the reason our lawns hold up in August.
Integrated pest management
We scout first. Then we decide whether to treat at all.
Integrated pest management is not a marketing word, it is the order of operations: identify what is actually there, decide whether it has crossed a threshold worth treating, then use the least product that does the job. It is better for the property and it is cheaper to run.
- Damage identified before anything is applied: drought, disease and grubs look identical from the curb
- Treatment at threshold, not on reflex. A handful of grubs in healthy turf is not a grub problem
- Spot treatment rather than blanket spraying wherever the situation allows it
- EPA-registered products at label rate, never heavier "just in case", which mostly buys turf injury
- A "just treated" sign in the yard on every visit, so the household knows to stay off until it dries
- Nothing sprayed in the wrong conditions: high heat, wind, drought stress or rain coming
